We Appreciate Your Support

This past year the Waukesha Education Foundation enjoyed the success of three events.  Annually, the WEF Board works to create opportunities that bring the community and the school district together to enjoy an event or activity for the benefit of raising funds for our students.

Through the support of our community, the Foundation continues to grow and is able to provide grant funding to enhance classroom projects in the School District of Waukesha.  Over the 12-year history of the Waukesha Education Foundation, approximately $135,000 has been awarded to grant requests by district staff, in addition to numerous designated scholarships. These grant projects have provided added educational experiences at all grade levels and at all district schools. The excitement and reward of seeing the benefit of this additional funding inspires us to further our efforts. We hope that you will share in this excitement and continue your participation in future celebrations and fund raising activities of the WEF.

Our Focus is on Enrichment
The Waukesha Education Foundation only supports projects and programs that are not typically funded by the School District's annual operating budget. Qualifying programs are proposed by teachers, administrators and staff in the district and are evaluated in a competitive review process. It is our intent to enhance the breadth, depth and quality of the education experience for kids in the Waukesha School District. It is not our intent to plug gaps in the District operating budget. Specific funding priorities for the Foundation include:

Program Innovation – Creative educational opportunities for students and teachers

Enrichment Programs – Activities that extend and enhance the core curriculum, benefiting students at all levels

Recognition of Quality Work – Reward outstanding achievements by students, teachers and programs
